Not since M.I.A.’s 2009 Grammys performance in a ladybug costume on her actual due date or Beyoncé’s pregnancy announcement at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards had there been such a memorable baby-bump awards show moment as there was at Sunday’s 2021 BET Awards — when Cardi B revealed, in spectacular fashion, that she and husband Offset are expecting their second child.
When the hip-hop superstar strutted onstage about three and a half minutes into Offset's performance with his group Migos of “Straightenin’”/“Type S***,” the audience at Los Angeles’s Microsoft Theater understandably went wild. But it was only when the cameras panned out that viewers totally understood that this was no ordinary surprise cameo. A wide shot showed that Cardi was glowing in a bedazzled, belly-baring Dolce & Gabbana onesie, looking well into at least her second trimester “Umm, OK, Bardi with the baby bump,” Black-ish actress Marsai Martin, who was presenting the Best Group award to Silk Sonic, quipped after Cardi’s big reveal. Later in the telecast, awards host Taraji P. Henson also referenced the potentially internet-breaking moment, saying, “Let’s go back to Cardi B and Offset giving us life — literally!” Meanwhile, over on the actual internet, in perfect coordination with Cardi’s BET shocker, the rapper’s Instagram posted a racier announcement for her more than 97 million followers: an artsy, elegnant potrait of Cardi in profile, with her nude, pregnant body covered in what appeared to be white paint or plaster. The caption simply read: “#2!” This is not the first time that Cardi has made a pregnancy announcement on live television: In 2018, when she was carrying daughter Kulture Kiari, she unveiled her baby bump on Saturday Night Live. That same year, just four months after Kulture’s birth, Cardi and Offset — who secretly wed in September 2017 — announced that they had separated. The couple has reunited and split again since then, and they filed for divorce last fall, but they reconciled in November 2020 and now seem to be very much together. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners Dr. Irene Obika and Mr. Regan Anusionwu were frustrated with the poor online experience to locate sitters and nannies that easily understood the unique needs of their children. The current online childcare marketplaces do not prioritize the highly specialized needs for Black children. Afrinanny.com is the solution. Every food retailer and delivery service today depends on single use-items to fulfill part or all of their service, presumably to keep costs low and to operationalize convenience. The mission of Jartogo is to eliminate 99% of food waste, food loss and single-use packaging. The company partners with independent local food vendors, typically referred to as ‘street vendors’ of ‘street food’ to provide them with safe, clean, sanitized kitchens to prepare and package food to distribute in glass jars to maintain freshness, food quality and safety standards. Without advertising or paid marketing, the Jartogo service launched and exploded to the point where the company has temporarily suspended new sign-ups due to jar shortage, after registering 940 (location-verified) customers in under 90 days. This is a good, but urgent problem to have. The company needs an immediate capital infusion to meet demand. The company is currently raising a $500,000 convertible note round to solidify the market presence by establishing 21 new self-service and automated food vending stations at new locations over the next 4-6 months. The first money in will immediately be used to increase reusable jar inventory from 300 to 10,000 and launch a new marketing campaign to grow users from 1,000 to 10,000 by March 2021. Jartogo currently uses temperature-controlled cases to store and distribute the meals in jars but plans to launch its first vending machines powered by PopCom in Q1-2020 to automate the distribution in order to scale faster. In the wake of these changes, Scizzrs is launching a live streaming service to allow barbers and stylists to generate income from courses and instructional videos through the platform. Running around in circles with a lack of income and poor money management led to her downfall. At first, she didn't believe in jotting down her feelings. Now, however, she can finally pour her heart out into her notebooks until she is able to afford therapy.
Carrie has always loved designing since the young age of fifteen.
